Shipping Method and Rates
We offer free delivery for orders of $150 or more to any address inside the Seattle city
limits. Seattle deliveries are on Fridays most weeks. Get
in touch with us and confirm the delivery date for your order. There MUST be
someone 21 or older to receive any package we deliver, and delivery attempts are
limited.
If you're not in Seattle, your order will be shipped via UPS. We ship to the states of
Washington, California, and to Washington DC. Residents of other states should ask their
state legislators to allow RETAILERS to ship directly to you, and to make the regulations
for shipping for out of state wineries and retailers reasonable, inexpensive and transparent.
We offer the following UPS shipping options:
Ground Service: Approximately 2 - 7 business days in transit.

2nd Day Air - By the end of the second business day.

Unless you live on the West Coast, we discourage you from selecting Ground Service as your
shipping method. During the winter and summer months, weather conditions (temperature) and
longer delivery times can often result in spoilage of your order. It doesn't make sense to
invest in fine wines and then take the chance of ruining them due to environmental factors
during transit. Faster and safer delivery generally isn't much more expensive. We do not make
an additional profit on accelerated delivery. Generally we ship orders on Tuesday of each week
in order to get shipments to you before the weekend. This is because we have no control over
the temperature conditions at the UPS facilities and/or trucks. The result may be that your
shipment does not go out on the day that you place your order. Please understand that your
orders are immediately packaged and scheduled for delivery, but may be delayed until ideal
conditions for shipment arise. We will hold your order until spring or fall at your request
in order to maximize the chances that your order will not be spoiled in shipment. Any orders
that we hold more than six months will be subject to an additional storage fee.
Adult Signature is Required with delivery of all shipments containing alcohol. You must be 21
years of age to order or receive alcoholic beverages. In placing your order, you represent to us
that you are at least 21 years old and that the person to whom you are directing delivery is at
least 21 years old. The person receiving the delivery MUST show identification to the UPS driver
upon delivery proving that he or she is at least 21 years old. We strongly encourage you to ship
to a business address as it improves the likelihood that an adult signature will be obtained on
the first delivery attempt. It is also less expensive than shipping to a residence! Product will
NOT be left at an address where a recipient is unavailable to provide the required adult
signature. Numerous attempts may be required to deliver to a residential delivery address, and
carriers will NOT leave wine packages unattended, even if you sign a release. We do not accept
liability for any expense or loss resulting from failure to take delivery on the first attempt.
We cannot ship wine to PO Boxes or APO addresses.
All shipping includes a handling fee to cover the cost of packaging materials, adult signature
requirements, and replacement insurance.
Insurance
We package each shipment carefully and often use specially designed shipping material to get your
order to you in pristine condition. We insure your package for replacement value, although
insurance does not cover weather related damage (heat or freezing) or damage resulting from
failure to take delivery on the first attempt. Please save the broken item and packing material,
as the carrier has the right to inspect any damage. We handle any claim paperwork, please contact
us immediately to report damage. We will first verify insurance coverage. Where a replacement is
available, we will ship it to you. Where replacement is not possible, we may refund all costs of
purchase instead. Insurance claims must be made within 7 days of receipt of your order.
Order Processing
We attempt to package and confirm your order on the same day we receive it. Sometimes, we are
unable to process on the same day due to the time the order was received, or other factors. In
this case, your order processed and confirmed the following day. In the unlikely event that not
all items are in stock, our policy is to contact you to discuss your order and available options.
Our packaging and shipping charges accommodate bottles in 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 12 bottle increments.
For example, if you order 7 bottles, you will be charged shipping for the standard 12 bottle
package.
Calculating Delivery Time
When you are calculating delivery time, please keep in mind that most carriers do not include
the shipping day in their time calculations. For example, an order placed and shipped on Tuesday by
2nd Day Air would be delivered by end of day on Thursday.
Shipping Restrictions
We ship to states where compliance regulations allow. Please call us to discuss your order. Each
state has its own laws governing the direct shipment of alcohol. We make no representation to the
legal rights of anyone to ship or import wines into any state outside of Washington. The buyer
is solely responsible for shipment of alcoholic beverage products. By placing an order, you
authorize us to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you. When
you place your order, title to the wine you order passes to you as soon as it leaves our doors;
it is up to you to verify the laws in your state. In the unlikely event that a shipment is
confiscated or insurance coverage is refused due to a violation of law, we reserve the right to

Taxes
Washington State sales tax applies to orders in being shipped to an address in Washington State.
There are a few states to which we ship that require us to charge sales tax for shipping alcohol.
Cancellation, Return, Restocking Policy
No refund or exchange after your order has been shipped. Due to the costs we incur from credit
card companies, a 10% fee will be levied for orders cancelled prior to shipping, except in cases
where an error has been made by us or wine shipping laws require cancellation of such and order.
Where a carrier returns a shipment to us due to failure of the buyer to take delivery, all
additional charges associated with this return, as well as future shipping charges to deliver it,
will be charged to the buyer.
Tracking
We you notify you of your of tracking information by e-mail.
Security and Privacy
We will never give away, lease, sell or otherwise disclose your personal information. Period!
For your protection, we do not store your credit card information when you place an order.You will
be required to supply a card number each time you make a purchase.
