Thursday Night Tastings and Other Special Events
We host wine tastings, open to the public, every weekend. We have guests to talk about the wine we're showing Saturdays 3-5PM. Our approach to wine tasting mirrors our shop's approach to wine: tasting, talking about, and buying wine should be interesting and fun. In short, if you want to just taste and buy great wines, that's what the tastings are for; if you are interested in learning more about wine and the winemaking process, you can get that kind of information too.
The theme of the Thursday tastings varies: sometimes we'll host a single winery or winemaker; other times we'll focus on a particular region or grape variety. The idea is to be continuously exposing our customers and guests to excellent wine at reasonable prices.
We host special event tastings, such as our popular Grand Cru Champagne Tasting every winter, or our rare aged Rivesaltes dessert wine tasting, where guests were able to taste five different French wines from five different vintages, ranging from 1927 to 1961.
Tickets to these special events are sold through Brown Paper Tickets. The event is announced first to our Wine Club Members (at a special discounted rate) and then to those on our email list. So, again, if you are not on our email list, sign up here!
